Balancing of work and family in Switzerland and other European countries in 2018
Switzerland is one of the European countries with relatively high flexibility for employees with care responsibilities. In general, 70% can postpone the start and end of working hours at short notice for family reasons and 53% can take whole days off without having to use holiday leave. The biggest ob-stacle to balancing work and family life is mostly long or unfavourable working hours and a long commute to work.
