The Financial Statistics Section of the FFA published data and indicators in accordance with the new financial statistics guidelines of the International Monetary Fund (GFSM 2014) for the first time at the end of September 2015. This also led to adjustments to the data series for the basic statistics. The accounts of the government units (Confederation, cantons and municipalities) as well as public social security funds are consistently ascertained in accordance with the sectoring criteria of the European System of Integrated Economic Accounts. In addition, two models (FS and GFS) are used for entering, processing and assessing financial statistics.
