09.09.2019 - On 1 June 2019, there were 75 383 empty dwellings in Switzerland. This was 1.66% of the total dwelling stock (including single-family homes). Some 3089 more dwellings were empty than in the previous year, representing an increase of 4.3%. The dwelling vacancy rate continues to grow, as it has done for the past ten years. These are some of the findings of the empty dwellings census from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
