Positive impact on income and career for more than one in two graduates one year after completing professional education

15.01.2019 - Advanced professional education and training enables those with vocational and professional training to complete tertiary level education. In 2016, over 30 000 candidates were working towards an advanced professional education and training qualification. Improvement of one’s labour market position and income are decisive factors in the choice of such training. Just one year after qualification, over half of advanced diploma holders said that their training had had a positive effect on their salary and career opportunities. These are the results of the first survey on advanced professional education and training from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

You will find further information in the press releases in German, French and Italian. The English version only includes the lead of the press release.
