Swiss Labour Force Survey: labour market participation 2010-2018 Even greater participation by the Swiss population in the labour market

Between 2012 and 2022, part-time employment grew three times more than full-time employment

23.04.2019 - In Switzerland, 84.2% of the population aged 15 to 64 participated in the labour market, i.e. an increase of 2.9 points since 2010. Part-time work is much more widespread in Switzerland than in the European Union. An increasing number of mothers with young children continue to work. Mothers changed jobs almost twice as often as fathers did for a better balance of work and family life. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey 2018 conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
