Swiss Labour Force Survey in 3rd quarter 2021: labour supply
In the 3rd quarter 2021, the number of employed persons in Switzerland rose by 0.9% compared with the same quarter in 2020. The number of actual weekly hours worked per employed person increased by 3.7%, returning to its pre-COVID-19 pandemic level. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) declined from 5.3% to 5.1% in Switzerland and from 7.6% to 6.7% in the EU. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS).
