The number of employed persons rose by 2.2% and the unemployment rate (ILO) fell to 3.9% in the 4th quarter 2023

18.02.2021 - Between 4th quarter 2019 and 4th quarter 2020, the number of employed persons in Switzerland remained unchanged. The weekly actual hours worked per employed person fell by 2.0%. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) increased from 3.9% to 4.9% in Switzerland and from 6.6% to 7.5% in the EU. These are some of the results of the Swiss Labour Force Survey (SLFS).
