Opendata.swiss participates in the Open Government Data cooperation between Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
An exciting German-language OGD movement is taking place. In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein there are now a number of programmes, initiatives and projects involving OGD data. Central open data websites and app competitions have been organised and implemented by government executives, often in collaboration with NGOs and other interest groups. The experts closely share knowledge of the data ecosystem in the German-language speaking region.
OGD conferences in the German-language speaking region
The OGD conferences in the German-language speaking region were developed to promote exchange of knowledge in the area of open data between German-speaking stakeholders. With a series of events, the conference forms the nucleus for closer cooperation between the German-language speaking countries in OGD. The series of events is intended to serve as a platform for knowledge sharing between the stakeholder groups of the government, citizens, the economy and academia in the German-language speaking region.
The tenth OGD D-A-CHLI meeting will be held on 23 and 24 June 2022 in Bern and Neuchatel. On 23 June, members will take part in the Opendata.ch/2022 forum to discuss the future of open data and knowledge.
