At the end of 2016, the millionth UID (enterprise identification number) was allocated to faun sports GmbH. This new enterprise, located at Biel/Bienne, offers coaching and mountain trail services.
The FSO allocates the 1,000,000th UID number to an enterprise
Launched in 2011, the UID was introduced to reduce the administrative burden on Swiss businesses. They can make use of this identifier to simplify exchanges with both the administration and their commercial partners.
An average of 300 businesses are created each day in the UID register, representing some 5000 letters sent by the FSO to inform businesses of the number attributed to them.
This millionth UID was definitely a sporty milestone for the UID team!
