The FSO collects data from all custom transactions of the Federal Customs Administration (FCA) obtained from importing and exporting enterprises of goods. These data contain all the information concerning an enterprise's transactions, notably transit goods classified according to customs tariffs, their volume, value and the transport mode used. Import and export data for all enterprises active in Switzerland are integrated into the Business and Enterprise Register (BER) and used as estimator variables for various statistics.
