Finance statistics of social assistance in a broader sense 2017 Expenditure on economic social assistance rose by 3.4% in 2017

15.02.2019 - In 2017 net expenditure on social assistance in the narrow sense – also called economic social assistance – rose in nominal terms by 3.4% to CHF 2.8 billion. Year-on-year change thus remained at the level of recent years. Around CHF 10 000 is spent per year per beneficiary. These are the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
