The number of employed persons rose by 0.5% and the unemployment rate (ILO) rose to 4.0% in the 2nd quarter 2024

16.05.2024 - In the 1st quarter of 2024, the number of people in employment in Switzerland rose by 1.4% compared with the same quarter of the previous year. During the same period, the unemployment rate as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) remained at 4.3% in Switzerland and at 6.3% in the European Union. These are some of the findings of the Swiss Labour Force Survey conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
