Total social accounts 2021: results for Switzerland and international comparisons
Between 2020 and 2021, expenditure on social benefits in Europe remained generally stable at the high level reached in 2020. In Switzerland, expenditure changed little between these two years: latest estimates point to a +0.3% in nominal terms and -0.2% in real terms. Expenditure totalled CHF 207.0 billion.
