Swiss Forestry Statistics 2020
With 4.8 million m3, in 2020, 4% more timber was harvested than in the previous year. This was 1% higher than the 2016-2019 average. As far as fuel wood was concerned, more wood chip was harvested in 2020, while a declining trend was seen for lump wood. Furthermore, more deciduous and fewer coniferous trees were newly planted.
