Gross domestic product fell in almost all cantons in 2020

21.01.2021 - In 2018, almost all cantonal economies grew. Neuchâtel (+5.1%), Vaud (+4.9%), Jura (+4.3%), Schaffhausen (+4.2%), Valais (+4.2%) and Zurich (+4.1%) stood out for the most marked performances. These figures are taken from the latest estimates of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The series of gross domestic product (GDP) by canton was completely revised (2008-2017) in order to comply with the revision of the National Accounts (NA) carried out in 2020.
