Traffic volume (public passenger transport)

Number of persons transported on Swiss territory. The staff of the transport companies on duty are not taken into account. In principle, each person is counted again after each transfer. The exception is the railway: there, one person transported corresponds to one person's journey from the place of departure to the place of destination, with or without changing from one railway vehicle to another.
