Solid trend in employment and slightly fewer vacancies in 3rd quarter 2023

25.08.2023 - In 2nd quarter 2023, the total employment (number of jobs) rose by 2.2% in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier (seasonally adjusted, +0.6% compared with the previous quarter). Calculated in full-time equivalents, this was an increase in jobs of 2.2%. Companies reported a total of 2900 (-2.3%) fewer vacancies than a year earlier and the employment outlook indicator recorded a slight decrease (-1.1%). These are some of the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
