National results of social assistance statistics 2015 Social assistance rate unchanged since 2013

Neuchâtel, 19.12.2016 (FSO) - 265,626 people received financial social assistance in 2015. This means that 3.2% of the resident population was supported by social benefits at least once during the year. The social assistance rate has remained unchanged since 2013. The proportion of households receiving social assistance was 4.1%. These are some of the findings from the current Swiss Social Assistance Statistics conducted by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
