Consumer prices remained stable in March

05.05.2023 - The consumer price index (CPI) remained unchanged in April 2023 compared with the previous month, at 106.0 points (December 2020 = 100). Inflation was +2.6% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).

The stability of the index compared with the previous month is the result of opposing trends that counterbalanced each other overall. Prices for air transport and package holidays increased, as well as for clothing and footwear. In contrast, prices for hotels, fruiting vegetables and heating oil decreased.
