Construction expenditure in Switzerland in 2023: provisional results Slight rise in investment in construction in 2023

18.07.2024 - Investment in construction rose by 0.2% in nominal terms in 2023 compared with the previous year. Investments in building construction fell by 0.3% and investments in civil engineering grew by 2.7%. Compared to the previous year, 2.5% less was invested in new construction projects and 4.4% more in renovation projects. These are the provisional findings from the Construction Statistics of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
