Swiss abroad in 2018 In 2018 more than one in ten Swiss nationals lived abroad

28.03.2019 - At the end of 2018, 760 200 Swiss nationals lived abroad representing a 1.1% increase compared with the previous year. The majority were based in Europe, particularly in France. One fifth of Swiss nationals abroad were aged 65 or more and 6% were aged over 79. These are the results of the statistics on the Swiss abroad from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
