National elections 2015: analysis FSO digital publication analyses shift in party-political landscape since 1971
Neuchâtel, 01.12.2015 (FSO) - The 2015 national council elections ended the trend towards the political centre, bringing about a partial u-turn. The Conservative Democratic Party and the Green Liberal party suffered the greatest losses in terms of electoral strength and parliamentary seats. The Swiss People's Party gained 2.8% in electoral strength, while the Free Democratic Party/The Liberals increased their share for the first time since 1979. The Greens were also amongst the losers. These and other results can be found in the new digital publication from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), published on the occasion of the newly elected Parliament's constituent sitting.
