The global dimension of sustainable development
Neuchâtel, 15.12.2008 (FSO) - Switzerland is increasingly meeting its responsibility for global sustainable development. Thus, policy measures give developing countries easier access to the Swiss market and Swiss consumers are buying more and more fair-trade products. At the same time, however, non-sustainable trends are also observable. This is evident from a new set of indicators on the global dimension of sustainable development which was developed by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
