What we offer
Explore the collection of over 80 alluring and captivating international thematic maps! Generally speaking, facts are presented for Europe and the World as a whole. Information about specific areas will depend on topic and statistical base. Regional maps for Switzerland can be found in the Regional Data section. All maps are presented according to a set of topics varying from one statistical product to another. Use the left navigation frame to browse through the list of available topics. Use the right navigation frame to browse through any available sub-topics.
The gallery is not intended to provide definitive and systematic coverage of individual topics. Instead, it acts as a representative sample of everything that the SFSO’s Thematic Cartography Unit (ThemaKart) has produced since 2000. The vast majority of maps are from print publications.
Please note: maps are not available in English. All maps are labelled in German and French only.

All map collections are assessed and updated yearly. You will find more current and detailed maps in the Swiss Statistical Encyclopedia or in the various interactive map applications.
