| Brief description | The socio-professional categories (SPC) are a classification system to represent the social structure of the population. For employed persons (excluding apprentices), the SPC are based on several basic variables (mainly on the current job, occupational status and highest completed education). For other persons, a distinction is only made between apprentices, unemployed persons and economically inactive persons. |
