Employment continues to grow despite first signs of slowing down
Neuchâtel, 12.12.2011 (FSO) - The employment barometer indicators (revised data) published quarterly by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) indicate a solid increase in employment compared with the same quarter of the previous year. However, for the first time in two years the employment outlook indicator and the number of job vacancies show a very slight decline in year-on-year comparison. Employment should, nevertheless, remain stable for the next quarter.

Employment continues to grow
Neuchâtel, 02.09.2011 (FSO) - The employment statistics published on a quarterly basis by the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) show, in year-on-year comparison, an increase in full-time employment both in the secondary and in the tertiary sector. For methodological reasons due to changes in the survey, the results published this quarter concern only full-time jobs. According to the employment outlook indicator, this increase should continue during the next quarter.

According to short-term employment outlook indicators, this trend should continue during the next quarter.

Robust employment growth in secondary sector
Neuchâtel, 24.02.2011 (FSO) - According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), the quarterly indicators of the employment barometer show a significant year-on-year increase in employment. For the first time since the 1st quarter of 2007, employment growth is more pronounced in the secondary sector than in the tertiary sector. In addition, all short-term employment outlook indicators show a positive trend for the third consecutive quarter.
