Intended users

The Swiss Statistics Web Site has user interfaces for three target groups of users:

• Ordinary users (general interest) who want to find basic statistical data quickly and easily: Conventional Web site with interactive navigation through statistical content.

• Commercial users (business interest) who want detailed data that can easily be downloaded and processed: the Swiss Statistical Encyclopedia with multiple filter and search functions for ready-made statistical objects (tables, graphs, maps, text).

• Academics (research interest) who want very detailed statistical information for their own analysis purposes: the STATWEB online database with interactive access to statistical data and the option of creating customised tables.
