Specialised in statistics, the SFSO library is open to the general public. It has maintained an archive of statistical publications since 1860, which makes it one of the most extensive statistical libraries in Switzerland. The SFSO library is therefore a very good place to find what you are looking for.

Generally speaking, the library contains publications on every field for which official statistics are available. The main area of the library is open to the general public. Visitors will find the following publications, which account for roughly 5% of the total archive.

• All SFSO publications;
• Statistical publications by other federal, cantonal and communal agencies;
• A large number of statistical publications by statistical offices abroad;
• Statistical publications by international organisations (Eurostat, OECD, UN, etc.);
• Over 300 of the estimated 600 professional journals published in a wide range of fields;
• Various reference books (general reference, dictionaries, specialised, historical, etc.)
