The SFSO library is open to the general public. Books and publications may be borrowed from the library upon presentation of a valid ID.

Here you will find over 60 square metres of books and publications. The following facilities have been placed at your disposal so that you can make optimal use of the library:
- Free access to photocopier and fax machine;
- CD-ROMs, which can be used to save data;
- In addition to various tables and chairs, there are four printer-connected workstations with access to the following:
- SFSO Web site, Swiss Statistical Encyclopaedia, STATWEB;
- Atlas of Switzerland (interactive);
- Other links, including those to international statistical offices (e.g. New Cronos, Eurostat databank);
- Major library catalogues.
Borrowing books and publications
The SFSO library archive covers over 4000 metres of shelf space. Archived books and publications may be borrowed free of charge during library opening hours and should be returned within a month. A delivery note must be signed before the book can be removed from the library.
Books and publications in the main area of the library may not be borrowed.
SFSO librarians can provide you with whatever information and advice you may need. If you like, they can briefly show you around the library and explain how to use it.
