Experimental statistics are produced using new methods and/or new data sources and are therefore in line with the FSO’s data innovation strategy and the Confederation's multi-annual programme for federal statistics.
They enable statistical offerings to be extended to meet users’ needs.
The first result published by the FSO on the „Experimental statistics“ website (see link below) concerns findings on employment garnered from structural survey data using a small area estimation approach.
The site will present further pilot projects on an on-going basis.
