ERST Survey

The Initial Survey of Business Start-Ups (ERST) collects economic and demographic information on simple enterprises from the secondary and tertiary sectors. It is primarily aimed at newly born enterprises registered in the Business and Enterprise Register (BER) but may also cover enterprises that have experienced structural changes or it may be used for quality assurance purposes as regards their economic activity. The aim of this survey is to update the BER and to process statistics as part of the structural and demographic business statistics (STATENT).
